A little request for all you creative hitrecorders out there..

My weekend project - working on this video with my dad (via emails and phone calls!) It’s a surprise for one of his coworkers who is retiring.

Dad thinks I’M the creative one, but he wrote this whole story and came up with basically all the ideas. I just cut and glued and scanned and edited… Anyways, I obviously can’t put it on hitRECord because it’s FULL of copyright questionabilities. But I’m still super-proud of it, and my dad is awesome. So.. check it out!  

HitRECord at the Works In Progress Conference (HOPEFULLY!!)

My professor recently brought this awesome graduate conference to my attention. The conference is currently accepting proposals for presentations that explore topics regarding “collaborative art,” “reconsidering ownership,” “transcending conventional mediums,” “work that is self-conscious about process,” and “questioning the finished product.”

Immediately I thought - HITRECORD!

Needless to say, I’m really excited about this opportunity to talk about hitRECord to a forward-thinking academic community. I’m working on a proposal for the presentation, which is open not only to conventional modes of academic discourse, but any kind of creative, interactive 20-minute presentation.

I just wanted to share the exciting news!! If anyone has any super-creative ideas for this, I would love to hear them. :)
